additive color mixing

Additive color mixing refers to the method of combining different colored lights or projected images to create new colors. Instead of using pigments, as in subtractive color mixing, additive color mixing relies on the additive principles of light, where the primary colors (red, green, and blue) are combined together to produce a wider range of hues and brightness. The more light is added, the brighter and more intense the resulting color becomes.
