arc fault circuit interrupters
Arc fault circuit interrupters (AFCIs) are electrical safety devices designed to protect against fires caused by arc faults in electrical wiring. They interrupt the circuit when an arc fault is detected, preventing overheating and potential ignition of flammable materials. AFCIs provide an added layer of protection by detecting and mitigating dangerous electrical arcs before they can cause a fire hazard.
