Austrian citizenship by descent refers to the process by which an individual can acquire Austrian citizenship based on their lineage or ancestry. This means that if at least one of the individual's parents is an Austrian citizen at the time of their birth, they are eligible to apply for Austrian citizenship by descent. The relationship between the individual and their Austrian citizen parent establishes a direct link that allows for the transmission of citizenship.
