autonomy and consent
Autonomy refers to an individual's right and ability to make decisions and take actions based on their own free will, independent from external influence or coercion. Consent, on the other hand, is the voluntary agreement or permission given by a person who is mentally capable and sufficiently informed to make a specific decision or engage in a particular action. It signifies that the person has understood the relevant information, is free to choose, and has the power to withdraw consent at any time.
