bohmian mechanics and non-locality
Bohmian mechanics is an interpretation of quantum mechanics that suggests particles possess definite positions and trajectories, in addition to wave-like properties. It combines the deterministic motion of particles with a guiding quantum potential. Non-locality, on the other hand, refers to the phenomenon where the state of one particle can instantaneously affect the state of another particle, regardless of the distance between them, defying classical notions of locality. In the context of Bohmian mechanics, non-locality arises due to the entanglement of particles, which allows for instantaneous correlations and interactions.
