branch davidians
The Branch Davidians were a religious group that emerged from a sect of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Led by David Koresh, they believed in a mixture of Christian teachings, end-times prophecy, and a strict hierarchical structure. The group gained attention due to the 1993 siege at their compound in Waco, Texas, which ended tragically with a fatal fire resulting in the deaths of many members, including Koresh.
