carbon storage in biomass
Carbon storage in biomass refers to the process by which living organisms, such as plants and trees, absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. This carbon is then stored in the biomass, or organic matter, of the plants and trees, effectively removing carbon dioxide from the air and sequestering it in a natural reservoir.
