civic engagement and civil society
Civic engagement refers to the active participation of individuals in their communities, including involvement in decision-making processes and actions aimed at addressing public issues. Civil society, on the other hand, comprises the organizations and associations formed by citizens to pursue collective goals, often outside the government framework, and work for the betterment of society.
