clean development mechanism (cdm)
Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) refers to a process established by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to promote sustainable development and combat climate change. It allows developed countries to invest in emission-reducing projects in developing countries, enabling them to earn certified emission reduction credits. These credits can be used to meet emission reduction targets, while simultaneously encouraging clean and sustainable development in developing nations.
