complementarity principle
The complementarity principle refers to the concept that certain phenomena in the quantum world, such as light and matter, can exhibit both particle-like and wave-like properties, but not simultaneously. In other words, the principle states that the behavior of quantum objects depends on how they are observed or measured, leading to either particle or wave characteristics.
