control-data attack (cda)
A control-data attack (CDA) is a malicious activity where an unauthorized individual manipulates or alters the control data of a system to gain unauthorized access or disrupt its normal functioning. The attacker exploits vulnerabilities in the control data, typically in software or firmware, to interfere with the legitimate flow of commands and instructions, potentially causing harm or bypassing security measures.
