correlated color temperature (cct)

Correlated color temperature (CCT) is a measurement that describes the appearance of light from a source in terms of its perceived warmth or coolness. It is determined by comparing the color of the light to that of a black body radiator (an ideal light source). A lower CCT value indicates a warmer, reddish light, while a higher value indicates a cooler, bluish light. CCT is commonly used to classify different types of lighting, such as incandescent bulbs, fluorescent tubes, and LED lights.
