critical damping in coupled oscillations
Critical damping in coupled oscillations is the point at which a system of coupled oscillators returns to equilibrium with the fastest rate and without any oscillations or overshooting. This occurs when the damping force is equal to the sum of the two individual damping forces in the system. It minimizes the time it takes for the system to reach a stable state without any oscillations.
