depression and suicidal ideation
Depression refers to a mental health disorder characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, changes in sleep and appetite, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and thoughts of worthlessness or guilt. Suicidal ideation, on the other hand, refers to the presence of thoughts, plans, or desires to end one's own life. It is an extreme manifestation of the emotional distress experienced by individuals with depression.
