dispersion forces
Dispersion forces, also known as London dispersion forces or van der Waals forces, are weak attractive forces between molecules or atoms due to temporary fluctuations in electron distributions. These fluctuations create temporary dipoles, which induce similar fluctuations in neighboring molecules, resulting in an attraction between them.
