Ecosystem health refers to the state of balance and sustainability within an ecosystem, measured by the overall well-being of its biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) components, and their interactions. It encompasses the ability of the ecosystem to provide critical life-supporting functions, maintain biodiversity, and resist or recover from disturbances.
