expectancy theory
Expectancy theory is a motivational theory that suggests individuals are motivated to act in certain ways based on their beliefs about the likelihood of achieving desired outcomes and the value they place on those outcomes. In simpler terms, it explains that people are motivated when they believe that their efforts will lead to successful outcomes and when they value those outcomes.
