ferdinand i of león
Ferdinand I of León was a medieval king who ruled the Kingdom of León in Spain from 1037 until his death in 1065. He played a significant role in the Reconquista, a series of campaigns by Christian kingdoms to reclaim territories from Muslim control. Ferdinand I is remembered for his military victories and for his efforts to centralize power and strengthen his kingdom.
