fetal hemoglobin (hbf)
Fetal hemoglobin (HbF) is a type of hemoglobin that is present in unborn babies during development in the womb. It is different from adult hemoglobin and has a higher affinity for oxygen, allowing the fetus to receive the necessary oxygen from the mother's bloodstream.
