infinity hotel
An "infinity hotel" is a theoretical concept in mathematics that demonstrates the counterintuitive nature of infinity. In an infinity hotel, there are an infinite number of rooms, each occupied by a guest. If a new guest arrives, the hotel manager can accommodate them by moving each guest to the next room number (i.e. the guest in Room 1 moves to Room 2, the guest in Room 2 moves to Room 3, and so on), freeing up Room 1 for the new guest. This illustrates the concept of infinity in a tangible way, showing that even though the hotel is already full, there is always room for one more guest.
