interference and thin film coatings
Interference refers to the phenomenon when two or more waves interact to either amplify or cancel each other out. Thin film coatings refer to a layer of material applied to a surface that is extremely thin, typically only a few micrometers thick, used for enhancing the performance or appearance of an object.
