kristallnacht

Kristallnacht, also known as the Night of Broken Glass, refers to a significant event that occurred on November 9-10, 1938 in Nazi Germany. During this state-sanctioned pogrom, Jewish-owned businesses, synagogues, homes, and individuals were attacked, vandalized, and killed. It marked a turning point in the persecution of Jews, as it signaled the intensification of anti-Semitic policies and violence that ultimately foreshadowed the Holocaust.
