longitudinal and cross-sectional designs
Longitudinal design refers to a research study that follows and collects data from the same group of individuals over a period of time to examine changes that occur over that time. Cross-sectional design, on the other hand, involves collecting data from different groups of individuals at a single point in time to examine differences among those groups.
