Minimal change disease, also known as minimal change nephrotic syndrome, is a kidney disorder characterized by abnormal leakage of proteins into the urine (proteinuria). It is called "minimal change" because under a microscope, the kidney appears normal or shows minimal changes. This condition primarily affects children but can occur in adults as well.
