minkowski spacetime
Minkowski spacetime is a mathematical model used in physics to describe the combination of space and time as a four-dimensional continuum, where the three dimensions of space and one dimension of time are merged into a single framework. It is named after the physicist Hermann Minkowski, who introduced this concept to describe special relativity. In Minkowski spacetime, distances and intervals between events are calculated using a mathematical formula known as the Minkowski metric, which accounts for the effects of time dilation and length contraction.
