mortgage-backed securities
Mortgage-backed securities (MBS) are financial products that bundle a large pool of individual mortgage loans together and create tradable securities backed by the collective cash flows from these mortgages. These securities are typically sold to investors and provide them with a way to gain exposure to the income generated by the underlying mortgages, while also spreading the risk among multiple investors.
