priming and implicit biases
Priming refers to the subconscious influence of prior experiences or cues on our thoughts and behavior. It occurs when exposure to certain stimuli activates related concepts and influences our subsequent responses. Implicit biases, on the other hand, are unconscious attitudes or stereotypes that affect our judgments and actions towards certain groups or individuals. They occur automatically and without conscious awareness, leading to unintentional discrimination or unequal treatment based on these biases.
