pumped hydroelectric storage
Pumped hydroelectric storage is a method of storing energy by using water to generate electricity. It involves pumping water from a lower reservoir to a higher one during periods when there is excess energy in the grid, and then releasing the stored water to flow downhill and generate electricity when the demand for energy is high.
