renin-angiotensin system
The renin-angiotensin system is a hormone system in the body that regulates blood pressure and fluid balance. It involves the conversion of angiotensinogen to angiotensin I by renin, and subsequent conversion to angiotensin II by angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), leading to vasoconstriction and release of aldosterone.
