residue theorem
The residue theorem is a mathematical tool used in complex analysis to efficiently compute integrals of complex functions around closed curves. It states that if a function is analytic inside and on a closed curve, except for isolated singularities, the integral around this curve is equal to the sum of residues of the singularities inside the curve.
