Sensory neuropathy refers to a condition where there is damage or dysfunction in the peripheral nerves that transmit sensory information, such as touch, pain, temperature, and proprioception, from the body to the brain. This can result in decreased or altered sensation, tingling or numbness, and sometimes pain in the affected areas.
