sovereignty and self-determination
Sovereignty refers to the authority of a state or governing body to exercise power and control over its own affairs without interference from external forces. Self-determination, on the other hand, is the right of a group or people to freely determine their political status, decide their own form of government, and pursue their economic, social, and cultural development.
