stalin's forced famine (holodomor)
Stalin's forced famine, also known as the Holodomor, refers to a deliberate and man-made famine that occurred in Ukraine from 1932 to 1933, orchestrated by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin's regime. The famine was an outcome of the policies implemented by Stalin to forcibly collectivize agriculture and suppress Ukrainian nationalism. Through confiscation of grain and harsh enforcement measures, millions of Ukrainians died or suffered extreme starvation during this tragic event.
