thermodynamic processes
Thermodynamic processes are changes in the state of a system that are brought about by exchanges of heat, work, and/or matter with its surroundings. These changes are governed by the laws of thermodynamics and describe how energy is transferred from one form to another, and how it is conserved or dissipated in the process. Examples of thermodynamic processes include compression, expansion, heating, cooling, and phase transitions such as melting, boiling or condensation.
