warsaw ghetto uprising
The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising refers to the armed resistance carried out by the Jewish inhabitants of the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II against the Nazis, who were attempting to liquidate the ghetto and transport its residents to concentration camps. It lasted for approximately one month, from April 19 to May 16, 1943, and represented a determined fight for dignity and freedom in the face of immense adversity.
