adrenocortical carcinoma
Adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare and aggressive type of cancer that originates in the adrenal cortex, the outer layer of the adrenal glands. It occurs when abnormal cells form tumors in the adrenal cortex, leading to the overproduction of certain hormones. Adrenocortical carcinoma often causes symptoms such as hormonal imbalances, weight loss, abdominal pain, and can spread to other parts of the body if not treated early.
