castle bravo thermonuclear test
Castle Bravo was the code name for a thermonuclear device test conducted by the United States on March 1, 1954, on Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands. The test resulted in a significantly larger explosion than anticipated, causing widespread radioactive fallout and resulting in severe health and environmental impacts. It remains one of the largest nuclear explosions in history.
