cuckoo birds and host species
Cuckoo birds are a group of bird species that lay their eggs in the nests of other bird species, known as host species. The host species then raise and care for the cuckoo bird's offspring as their own, often at the expense of their own offspring. This behavior is known as brood parasitism.
