distributed denial-of-service (ddos) attacks
Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks are deliberate attempts to overwhelm a computer network, system, or service by flooding it with an overwhelming amount of requests or malicious traffic from multiple sources simultaneously. This barrage of unwanted traffic renders the targeted network or service incapable of handling legitimate requests, causing disruption or complete unavailability to genuine users.
