dominant and recessive traits
Dominant traits refer to the genetic characteristics that are expressed or visible when an individual inherits a dominant allele from either one or both parents. These traits often overpower or mask the presence of recessive alleles. Recessive traits, on the other hand, are only observable when an individual inherits two copies of the recessive allele, one from each parent, as they are overshadowed by dominant alleles in heterozygous individuals.
