gregor mendel
Gregor Mendel was an Austrian monk and scientist who is often called the "father of modern genetics." He conducted groundbreaking experiments with pea plants in the mid-19th century and discovered the basic principles of inheritance, now known as Mendelian genetics. His work laid the foundation for our understanding of how traits are passed down from one generation to the next.
