fractal image compression
Fractal image compression is a method of encoding and compressing digital images based on the concept of self-similarity, wherein the image is divided into smaller parts that resemble the whole. These smaller parts, called fractal blocks, are encoded as mathematical formulas, allowing for efficient compression while still maintaining high image quality when decoded.
