On the other hand, Holocaust minimization acknowledges the Holocaust but seeks to downplay or minimize its magnitude, impact, or historical significance. It involves attempts to trivialize, diminish, or distort the scale of the atrocities, the number of victims, or the efforts of the Nazi regime to systematically exterminate specific groups of people.
