homotopy group
A homotopy group is a mathematical concept used in algebraic topology to measure the ways in which loops can be continuously deformed or transformed into one another within a given space. It consists of a set of equivalence classes of loops, with each equivalence class representing loops that can be continuously deformed into each other. The homotopy group provides a way to classify and study the topological properties of spaces based on the behavior of these loops.
