The "ILOVEYOU worm" is a computer virus that rapidly spread through email attachments back in May 2000. It targeted Windows operating systems, posing as a harmless love confession message to entice users into opening the attachment. Once opened, it infected the user's computer and proceeded to send itself to all contacts in the user's email address book, causing significant disruptions and damage to computer systems worldwide.
