information cascades
Information cascades refer to the phenomenon where individuals tend to adopt and follow the choices or opinions of others, often without considering alternative information or their own beliefs. This leads to a chain reaction in which initial choices or opinions, regardless of accuracy, gain widespread acceptance and influence the subsequent actions or beliefs of others.
