lesch-nyhan syndrome
Lesch-Nyhan syndrome is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the deficiency of an enzyme called hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (HPRT). This condition causes neurological abnormalities, self-injurious behaviors, and the overproduction of uric acid, leading to symptoms such as severe gout.
