It is the home of mankind and is connected to the other realms such as Asgard, realm of the gods, and Jotunheim, realm of the giants. Midgard is seen as the middle realm that bridges the gap between the divine and the earthly, serving as a meeting point for different beings and forces in the Norse cosmology.
