Prophet Muhammad is the central figure in Islam, revered as the last and final prophet sent by God. He was born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in the 6th century AD. He is believed to have received revelations from God through the angel Gabriel, which were compiled into the holy scripture of Islam, the Quran.
