black holes and hawking radiation
A black hole is a region in space where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light can escape its pull. It is formed when a massive star collapses under its own gravity. Hawking radiation is a theoretical radiation that is believed to be emitted by black holes. According to physicist Stephen Hawking, particles and antiparticles can be created near the black hole's event horizon, with one falling into the black hole and the other escaping into space. This phenomenon is thought to cause black holes to slowly lose mass and eventually evaporate over extremely long periods of time.
